SANTIAGO THE CAPITAL OF CHILE BLOSSOMS WITH THE ART OF LIVING

Badakhshan province, Afghanistan
Santiago's Metropolitan Regional Government has granted a subsidy to the Art of living foundation to help with the campaign "Santiago Free of Violence" that the Art of living foundation is carrying all over Latin America.

The funds for public safety activities, cultural and sporting activities come from the program "Live Healthy" which the government contributes to help nonprofit public and private institutions. The Art of Living Foundation won the 2% public bidding from Public Safety Found, which will finance "Santiago free of Violence" program.

The commitment is to teach the BWS course to 5700 persons in the most remote and poor areas as well as 2700 children and teachers in the public schools.

The program was presented to the Mayor Juan Antonio Peribonio Poduje by Art of Living Latin American representative, Beatriz V. Goyoaga, in February 2013 and the program was officially launched by the Mayor and The Art of Living in the public "Plaza de la Moneda" to the press and to the public in general in June. Work has already started at schools and shantytowns and the results are amazing. The Mayor and his team will take the Art of living stress management program in July. The same program was presented to the Carabineros, the police force in Chile and will take place in the near future. In the meantime in Atacama, the northern most city, in the Atacama dessert, the Know your Child program is already being thought by Art of Living teachers to miners and their families.
