The access to toilets has helped many villages to overcome many diseases. Earlier the practice was to answer nature’s call in the fields, leading to breeding of mosquitoes. Also women would have to relieve themselves only after sunset or before sunrise, leading to many stomach ailments. Ever since the toilets have been built, the general health has improved.
