A New Dimension of "IT" - Inner Technology for Peace and Happiness
23rd Sep 2012
- More than 700 people in a talk with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Aachen -
It was a fully packed auditorium of Einhard Gymnasium, as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Saturday night (September 22nd) visited Aachen for the first time.
With the currently best-known yoga master, internationally renowned ambassador of peace and wisdom teacher, he addressed visitors not only from Germany, but also participants from neighboring countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
In the talk, the founder of Art of Living, explained in a clear way, how in our hectic fast paced society much needed relaxation for more satisfaction and better health is possible. With lots of humor Sri Sri Ravi Shankar demonstrated by the example of a mobile phone that just like the mobile phone, our mind has so many "programs" and they are turned on, and we no longer know how to regulate them as we want.
Millennia-old relaxation techniques from the treasure of yoga help you to learn more peace and balance in everyday life and the visitors then had the opportunity to explore the effects and advantages directly in a meditation with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The visitors were impressed and so after the lecture two course programs were held at the Novotel in Aachen, where participants were delved deeper into the age-old knowledge of a happy, contented life and could learn from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar himself. Health & Happiness Workshop participants learned valuable breathing techniques, combined with yoga and meditations as well as practical tips that can be easily integrated into everyday life and help in finding inner peace and more energy. In the course "The Art of Living - The Art of Breathing" Sudarshan Kriya was conveyed. This is a world famous rhythmic breathing technique and is instrumental in stress reduction and revitalizing effect, which helped millions of people to increase relaxation and joy.
