HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar backs N-deal, urges parties to support

SEATTLE: Renowned Spiritual guru and humanitarian His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has urged all the political parties to rise above their political differences and support the Indo US civilian nuclear deal.

Calling upon all the parties to display magnanimity Guruji in a statement issued from Seattle, USA, said that “India has always had a tradition of the government and opposition coming together in national interest whenever a crisis or war befalls the nation.”

“At a time when the country is faced with severe energy shortage, the government has negotiated a nuclear deal with the US, which can augment sustainable energy sources. All parties must support the deal that is beneficial to the country,” he said. “The opposition does not have to oppose everything that the government does,” Guruji added.
