Art of living to host inter faith meet

Entering its second chapter, Sneh Milan is an inter-faith congregation to boost peace and harmony among people of all religions.

Sneh Milan, an inter-faith congregation to spread love, trust and belongingness among people of different faiths and cultures will be held at the Art of Living International Center, Bangalore on December 18, 2014.

In the true spirit of the Art of Living, this event brings together communities and spiritual leaders to convey the message that we are all working for the betterment of humanity and that life is a celebration; that we are truly a One World Family.

Entering its second chapter this year, Sneh Milan will play host to dignitaries from countries such as Slovenia, Lithuania, Jordan, Norway, USA, and Hungary amongst others. Clerics, community leaders, eminent personalities, decision makers and the general public from several faiths including Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism are likely to attend the event.

The speakers at the event will include:

  • Rev. Benard Moras - Archbishop of Bangalore;
  • Fr. Abraham V M - Pro Vice Chancellor, Christ University;
  • Saleem Hazarvi - President, International Sufi Center;
  • Mr. Hakim - Head of Shiite Masjids;
  • Anwar Sharif – Head, Jama Masjid Sunni;
  • Jo Leinen - Member of European Parliament, European Union, President, European Movement;
  • Dr. Abdul Salam Majali - Former Prime Minister of Jordan and  Chairman of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences;
  • MEP Alojz Peterle -  Former Prime Minister of Slovenia, current Member of European Parliament, European Union;
  • MEP Vyautis Landsbergis - Former Prime Minister of Lithuania/Current Member of European Parliament, European Union;
  • Prof. Ruud Lubbers - Former Prime Minister of the Netherlands for 12 years;
  • Prof. Gunnar Stalsett, Former Bishop of Oslo;

The first chapter of Sneh Milan (held in February 2014) witnessed guests from Iraq, Pakistan, Israel, Oman, Afghanistan and the UAE who spoke out in support of a peaceful and harmonious global society. Those present requested Sri Sri to facilitate such inter-faith events more frequently.

Sneh Milan will act as a bridge between different religions and boost relief and support work. Sneh Milan is an open-for-all event and will be hosted at The Art of Living International Center, Bangalore on December 18, 2014.

The meet will culminate in a dinner to which all are invited.
