Computer donations spur availability of German language courses for refugees and migrants

From Germany, with love

A group of refugees and migrants in Berlin received an unexpected gift to help them settle in their new environs: the gift of language. In addition to their ongoing sessions on spoken German, the migrants, now, would further develop their lingual skills with 24 work stations. Needless to say, the members of the Counseling Center for Refugees and Migrants (KUB) welcomed the computers with surprise and delight. “Our organization is committed to cultural understanding and this starts with language,” shares Christoph Glaser, head of The Art of Living in Germany. “The Art of Living is pleased to announce that people in Berlin can make a contribution towards computer donations so that more migrants receive access to German language learning programs.”

The KUB supports refugees and migrants who seek guidance on how to create a successful transition into living independently in Germany and help them to ensure access to necessary basics, such as legal, psychological and lifestyle-enhancing services.

The Art of Living Germany chapter (KDL) in Germany is headquartered in Oppenau, Baden since 1986 and Wuerttemberg, in addition to offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt and Dresden. Volunteers of the organization are active nationwide on a range of issues.
