Sri Sri Rural Development Program (SSRDP) has organized India Way Forward 2015 on 16th January 2015 at The Art of Living International Center, Bangalore. The day-long event will see rural representatives, social workers, corporates, entrepreneurs, NGO’s and government representatives share a common platform during National Rural Development Summit (NRDS) and find a holistic approach to a sustainable and integrated development of the rural population. This summit will also explore ways to improve the overall quality of life in rural areas by boosting employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. The summit will be addressed by Shri. Sudarshan Bhagat (MoS, MoRD), Shri. Sarbananda Sonowal (MoS, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports), Shri. Sunil Ambekar (National Organizing Secretary - ABVP) and others.
Under the same event, a National Conference on Employment and Entrepreneurship (NCEE): Opportunities and Challenges in Technical Division has also been slated for the same day. This endeavor by SSRDP will create a direct connect between engineering colleges and the industry. With colleges, entrepreneurs, recruitment managers, NGO’s and business magnets on a common stage, the conference will brainstorm on challenges and opportunities in employment and entrepreneurship sector. Mrs. Smriti Irani (HRD Minister, GoI), Mr. Pramath Nath (Director HR - KPMG), Mr. Nitin Tappe (COO – Geometric Ltd.) and other prominent dignitaries will address the gathering.
The guest of honor for both the events will be Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Founder, The Art of Living). Renowned social activist Shri Anna Hazare will also be one of the prominent speakers at India Way Forward 2015. Thousands are expected to attend the event.
