India’s Missing Daughters: Faith for Action Against Sex Selection

Aim: To campaign against sex selection and female feticide

Conference proceedings: Religious and spiritual leaders of different faiths, representatives of the Government and civil society came together to work towards creating awareness and combat the growing practice.

Outcome

  • Padyatras (walkathons) were organized in various states to raise the level of awareness among the general public. Through its programs, the Art of Living educated thousands of youth on the issue of sex selection and female feticide.
