#3 Let's Get Going With Some Happiness Yoga
You can beat the blues of depression through our yoga course, which can add the feel-good factor to your life by boosting your happiness quotient. A not-so-good feeling inside might be stopping you from moving outside. But this makes inertia seep into your body, which brings your energy down. A few stretches can do magic, as it improves the circulation in your body, sending oxygen to your brain and cells. It flushes out toxins and improves your sleep pattern. Experience a boost in your happiness hormones with Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation), Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose), Singhasana (Lion Pose), Cat Stretch, and Joint Rotation.
Yoga indeed gives dual benefits to your body and mind complex: first, it enhances your mood, which makes you feel good; second, it gets you back in shape, which enhances your self-esteem.

#4 Perform A Totally Random Act Of Kindness
If you are the reason behind someone's happiness, won't that make you happy? Not just humans, but animals too are touched by your kind gestures, and it's easy to notice when they leap on you or rub their faces against your feet, saying a loving "thank you" the only way they can. Feeding milk to a hungry kitten one early morning can almost make you forget your worries. You are the source of its happiness!
There is an interesting link between meditation, seva (selfless service), and your smile. "If you are not having good experiences in meditation, then do more seva. You will gain merit and your meditation will be deeper. When you bring some relief or freedom to someone through seva, good vibrations and blessings come to you. Seva brings merit; merit allows you to go deep in meditation; meditation brings back your smile", shares Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
You can't plan these random acts of kindness—you just go and do it. How long will this take? Ten minutes? Fifteen?
#5 Be Around Happy People
Happy people have an infectious quality – their company brings happiness to the people around them, and it's easy to catch even if you aren't feeling good right then. If you are in a group of people who are all lively and energetic, you cannot but feel high in energy, since energy is nothing but vibrations that can be sent and received. You may engage yourself in sharing knowledge; in something creative; or in helping others, which several of you can do as a team. If you are the reason behind someone's smile, won't that make you happy too?
#6 Go Natural
Your body is made up of the five elements of nature – earth, fire, water, air, and ether. Hence, if there's an imbalance (depression being one of them), restoring it naturally is common sense. Wouldn't you agree?
Panchakarma therapies, based on natural techniques, have been proven to be highly reliable in treating depression. We suggest that you visit an Ayurvedic Physician or Nadi Parikshak to find out which therapy would work best for you. These may include Marma, Shirodhara, or Abhyanga. Marma works on your subtle energy points, which enhances and balances the flow of energy to give complete relaxation. In Shirodhara, you receive a caressing massage by a thin stream of medicated oil to your forehead. In Abhyanga, you receive a full body massage.
