Thousands meditate online to mark African Union golden jubilee

About 10,000 people from 23 African countries joined an online meditation session held by Indian spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to mark the golden jubilee of the African Union, organisers said Sunday, a day after the event.
"Meditation creates positive vibrations. Today, it is much needed in Africa," Ravi Shankar, who conducted the "I Meditate Africa", programme said, according to a media release from the 'Art of Living (AoL)' organisation founded by him.
