'Own The Future and The Present'- a meeting with over 10000 students

"Take ownership for the country," was Sri Sri's message to the thousands of youth gathered at the Hindu college premises. Students from over 75 colleges gathered for this mega youth initiative. Sri Sri also urged the youth to vote, and emphasized their role for societal transformation, involvement in promoting peace, dedication to community service and preservation of the environment, art and culture.

Human Rights Concerns on Indian Diaspora February 12, 2012, Hindi Bhawan, Delhi

Sri Sri inaugurated the 2nd International Human Rights Concerns of Indian Diaspora organized by Human Rights Defense (India) HRDI in Delhi. While speaking of the violations, Sri Sri said that there have been many instances around the world where the Human Rights of the Indian Diasporic members have been violated. He emphasized that it is the duty of both the people and the administration to honor the rights enshrined in the Constitution. Sri Sri furthered that along with Human Rights, it is paramount to cultivate Human Values.

Other prominent speakers present were, Human Rights activist, Dr Richard Benkin, Malaysian lawyer and President of Hindraff UK, Shri Waytha Murthi, a well known ex politician from Southern Pakistan's Sindh province, Shri Ram Singh Sodha, Swami Ramesh Lalji from Dera Dhuni Baba, and Datuk A Vithilingam, president of Malaysia Hindu Sangam Association.

An offering for peace, Delhi

Over 65,000 people meditated for peace as Sri Sri conducted an offering for the Mother Divine.

Mahashivratri: The night of Lord Shiva

Around 100,000 people from 60 countries celebrated Mahashivratri with Sri Sri. The Bangalore Ashram hosted this celebration after ten years. Sri Sri took the Sudarshan Kriya in the evening, and said that shivratri meant taking deep rest when the mind is in the lap of the divine.

Against corruption

17th Feb, 2012, Bangalore, India A sea of people sat in satsang with Sri Sri, and a special guest Anna Hazare. Anna, a Gandhian, has been the force against corruption in India. Sri Sri urged all present, especially the youth to sacrifice and work for the country, the way Anna had dedicated his whole life for the country.

Mahasatsang: Valentine's Day

14th February, 2012. Nelmangala, Bangalore, India "A Mahasatsang was organized in the small town of Nelmangala, in the city of Bangalore, where thousands gathered to celebrate Valentine's Day of a different kind, with Sri Sri. "There is a lot of ignorance and superstitions in our country.

We should get ourselves out of this mess,"" said Sri Sri. He urged that we should go to villages and tell people to send their children to school, and remove ignorance and blind beliefs. Sri Sri shed light on the increasing corruption in the nation and urged people to fight against it, by voting and electing the right people."
