February 16, 2010
Bodoland, Assam, India

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, as a part of his eight-day long tour in the North-East of India, addressed the rural masses in Bongaingoan, the troubled district of lower Assam. Over 100,000 people turned up in Salmara in Abhayapuri to hear Gurudev's message of peace and love. Gurudev also urged people to adopt organic farming methods (rishi krishi) and Ayurveda. The Art of Living runs five schools in that area and has plans to build more. Volunteers of the Art of Living have been working in this area to bring peace and understanding.
