Art of Living Organizes First Run for Peace Marathon

Argentina hosted the first Art of Living marathon for world peace under the slogan, ‘Get your Goal Now’. Some 3,000 people participated in the run, which included categories for participants with disabilities, women runners, senior citizens, and children. The beautiful Buenos Aires, Palermo Park was filled with the energy of the runners and Art of Living volunteers who took part in the 5 km professional run and the 2 km ‘Peace March’ for the whole family.

The event, which will be repeated every year, brightened up with deep orange Art of Living T-shirts and banners of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Live rock music, healthy food, yoga and meditation were also part of the event. A beautiful tent was put up at the venue to receive the winners and event sponsors. Important sponsors also had their banners and tents on display. Men and women, professional athletes, pregnant women, the elderly, and kids – all contributed to the success of the event with their presence and love. Before the start of the event, there were several warm-up activities on behalf of the sponsors. The event ended with a huge celebration of vegetarian Sushi and dance.
