What does the Goat Signify ? The goat eating the leaves possibly signifies that knowledge may sometimes get overtaken by ignorance coming out of the dharma of the goat - who just wants to satisfy its physical needs of this material world arising from chaturbingshoti tattwa ( 24 tattwas like lust, greed, moha, maya, all the five sense organs etc.). However the brighter side of the story is knowledge cannot be destroyed and the remnants of the knowledge we still have in Patanjali Yoga Sutra is good enough and adequate for us.
