Venue

The Olympiastadium is a monument that has survived both World War I and World War II. Though old, the stadium is equipped with the latest technologies in artificial illumination and sound effects. The UEFA considers the stadium as a Five Star Stadium. In the past, the venue has hosted some major events such as:

• 2006 FIFA World Cup Soccer
• 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, 2009
• Various classical, pop and rock music concerts including - The Forest Theatre, The Rolling Stones, Phil Collins, Depeche Mode, etc.
