Social activist Anna Hazare along with Arvind Kejriwal and Swami Agnivesh, today, called upon Art of Living Founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at The Art of Living International Center. Thanking the spiritual leader and thousands of volunteers for their immense support and guidance, Anna Hazare said, “Every single person should encourage others to join the movement and work for a corruption-free India. To lead the fight against corruption it is important to abide by five things – good values, a clean background, love, courage to face insults and sacrifice. “

Speaking on the occasion, Gurudev said, “We need to change the mindsets. Corruption begins where belongingness ends. What belongs to you will come your way, so make an honest living. This revolution to get rid of corruption should be brought to the country.” Expressing his gratitude to Gurudev, Arvind Kejriwal shared, “We didn’t know this fight would become so big. I thank The Art of Living and Gurudev who guided us on every step.”

Addressing the gathering, Swami Agnivesh said, “It is time now, we come together and wipe off corruption from the country with support of the common man and strive towards becoming a prosperous nation.”

On the occasion, Anna Hazare also launched a book titled ‘You-Turn India’, written by Dr. D.K and Dr. Hema Hari. The book focuses on the three waves of plunder that India has gone through – one during Mohammad Gauri, second during the British era and the third by the Indians themselves.

The Art of Living has been taking an active stance in rooting out corruption. During Anna Hazare’s crusade against corruption, The Art of Living volunteers from all over India provided support and cheer by making their presence felt. Breaking his four-day fast on April 9, Anna Hazare applauded Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and his ‘brothers, sisters and comrades’ from The Art of Living for being so steadfast in their support. Volunteers from The Art of Living centers all over India had played a vital role by organizing and participating in ‘India Against Corruption’ rallies in places like Shimla, Indore, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nasik, and many areas of Uttar Pradesh.
