Art of Living Organizes First Run for Peace Marathon

Argentina hosted the first Art of Living marathon for world peace under the slogan, ‘Get your Goal Now’. Some 3,000 people participated in the run, which included categories for participants with disabilities, women runners, senior citizens, and children. The beautiful Buenos Aires, Palermo Park was filled with the energy of the runners and Art of Living volunteers who took part in the 5 km professional run and the 2 km ‘Peace March’ for the whole family.

The event, which will be repeated every year, brightened up with deep orange Art of Living T-shirts and banners of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Live rock music, healthy food, yoga and meditation were also part of the event. A beautiful tent was put up at the venue to receive the winners and event sponsors. Important sponsors also had their banners and tents on display. Men and women, professional athletes, pregnant women, the elderly, and kids – all contributed to the success of the event with their presence and love. Before the start of the event, there were several warm-up activities on behalf of the sponsors. The event ended with a huge celebration of vegetarian Sushi and dance.

The Youth Empowerment Seminar has helped me immensely. I have been dependent on drugs for a while. I never thought I had the stamina to live without them. Amazingly, I am more calm and happy now. I have discovered a new energy in myself.

“Every moment doing the advance course was new experience for me, the meditation and most of all the silence, which enjoyed the most.”
Deepak R.

The advanced course, I cannot put in words the sort of experience it was for me. I have always imagined the nature of meditation and the feeling one has when you do this but this was mind blowing. It was an absolutely wonderful experience.

I cannot directly pin point it, but definitely there is a big change from before and after going to the part-2 course. I feel I have become a new person, so I say that the part-2 course has been the starting point of my new self. The new me is very comfortable. I feel blessed and very happy. Actually, I feel very lucky to come across a course like this. Thank you for giving such an opportunity.

I had a great time with the advance course too. I think everyone came out a better person. My personal health seems improved. I am finding that I am more tolerant to my own self these days. This means that I do not indulge in drinking and other bad habits as soon as I find time. I used to do that a lot before.
