Biggest European online meditation event on 5th August to highlight discussion forum with The Art of Living Founder and emphasize on new approaches in peace-building
Berlin, 29 July 2016 - In a bid to respond to the tragic recent happenings in Europe, the international UN accredited NGO “The Art of Living” will host a unique online event on 5th August at 18.00 hrs CEST titled “Europe Meditates”. This online campaign aims to promote peace in Europe and encourage the use of meditation as part of peace building for the continent. It also wants to encourage the use of social media to create a positive impact for social good.
For long, meditation has been widely acknowledged as a tool towards achieving inner peace. Over 500 studies from more than 200 International Universities, including Princeton and Harvard, scientifically validate both the beneficial effects of meditation, and how individual and group meditation can improve the quality of life for every one. In tackling the challenges Europe is facing today, from issues around terror, violence, crime and unrest, the benefits of meditation can be an important tool in the peace-building initiatives.
“Europe meditates” will see a number of prominent European leaders engage with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in a dialogue aimed at building solutions for our collective peaceful future.
The international acclaimed peace ambassador will also guide the viewers through a meditation.
The event will be broadcasted on www.artofliving.org/webcast and various additional online channels and is expected to be the biggest online meditation for peace in Europe.
