What do you do when you get insulted?

You try to insult by another insult. Otherwise, you boil. You get upset, and you always look for an opportunity to insult the other person. I want to give you another technique.

If someone insults you, you stand and say, “Hey, that was a good insult. Can you insult me a little more?” “Oh, you are good at it, but I think you are not very good at it. Can you insult me a little more?” Just do that once and see what fun you can have. You usually keep crying or you boil with anger. You get upset. You are uptight. You lose your sleep.

Instead of doing all this, someone insults you, say: “Oh, you are really good at it. Can you do it more? I want a little more insult.”

You will turn the whole wheel around. You will see that you become insult-proof. No one can insult you.  You should just say, “Oh, you want to insult me? Okay. Go ahead, go ahead. Come on, go ahead.”

It’s such fun. Rather than you crying and getting angry, miserable and punishing yourself, you simply have to say, “Oh, that’s good. Can you do it a little more?”

You will see that the person who insulted you, whoever it is, will be confused and look like a joker. It looks very foolish. They would have never encountered anybody like that in their life. They will stop insulting others.

See, the world is like that. The world is Maya. Illusion, the illusory world. There are so many things, so many people. There are cheats, there are people who are nasty, who are obnoxious. It is all part of the world.

You can’t grumble, cry over why it should be. All this makes you stronger. It’s always good for you.

When someone insults you, don’t fight or boil inside – turn it into play. The moment you stop taking it seriously, you become insult-proof, and what was meant to hurt you only reveals the illusion of the world and strengthens you instead.
