Hi,

Thank you for registering for the Online Happiness Program.

Please review the following course guidelines so that you are well prepared for your course.

ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT:

  • Attendance of all session is required
  • No recording of any of the online material
  • The room should have enough light so that your teacher will be able to see you
  • You will need to keep the camera on during the session. The camera should be positioned such that the teacher can easily see your face and upper body.
  • Only registered participants can be in the room. No exceptions.
  • Keep proper social distancing if more than one participant is attending (spouse, etc)

COURSE ROOM ENVIRONMENT & ROOM SET-UP

  • The room should be private and quiet during all sessions. For privacy, you will need to keep the room door closed.
  • Have a yoga mat and/or a comfortable chair available
  • Room should have a window that you can open for fresh air
  • No pets and no children allowed in the room during the sessions
  • Water bottle
  • Tissue Box
  • Blanket / Shawl
  • Pillow
  • Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes
  • You will need a few A4 sheets of paper and a pen

THE HOME ENVIRONMENT & FAMILY:

  • Set up special care for your children, so you are not interrupted during the sessions
  • Turn off home mobile, landline ringers, house doorbell or buzzer etc.

WIFI & ZOOM LOGISTICS

Go to www.zoom.us  You can download the Zoom app for your laptop or tablet for free. Please familiarise yourself with Zoom, especially the chat feature before the course begins.

 Ensure you have good WiFi connectivity in the room. It will greatly enhance your video & audio quality and experience. Have fewer devices connected to your wireless network.

  1. Please note that over the course of 4 days, you will require approx 4 to 6 GB of data for proper streaming of all the sessions. Make sure that you have purchased sufficient balance before the program starts.
  2. Please use a laptop or a personal computer for all the sessions of the program – preferred not connect from your cell phone. Ensure your laptop is charged
  3. Close all other applications on your laptop and turn off all notifications to prevent any distractions.
  4. Make sure that you change the settings for powering down or entering ‘screensaver’ mode of your laptop
  5. Make sure you have easy access to control the volume of your computer and adjust the sound accordingly.
  6. If you have a question for the teacher, please send a private chat message to your teacher. At the bottom of the chat window the default is “Everyone” in the drop down you can select the teacher’s name.
  7. If you have difficulty navigating Zoom, our course volunteer would be happy to work with you. Please call or email them to set up a time to connect with them.
