Akshay Annapurna

Situated on the banks of river bhama is the ever bustling joint- akshay annapurna i.e. the ashram dining hall and kitchen. In response to increasing number of people visiting the ashram, Akshay Annapurna, the new dining hall and kitchen was inaugurated by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar ji in June 2013.

Constructed in traditional Kerala style architecture, the kitchen is adorned with a beautiful lily pond at the centre. It is equipped with gravy making machine, flour milling machine, idli maker and so on. The kitchen is famous amongst all the ashrams for its lip smacking and sattvic dishes.

The kitchen is run entirely by volunteers. Managing the kitchen is an enormous task; hence the kitchen follows the policy of Swayam Seva (self help) wherever possible. This practice nurtures a sense of respect for others and self-reliance for the individual.
