His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, visited Ir aq
on a peace mission at the invitation of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
It was for the first time that an Indian spiritual leader was officially
been invited to the war-torn country on a peace mission. During his visit,
Sri Sri had a private meeting with the Prime Minister. He also met with a
number of senior political and religious officials, including leaders
belonging to Shia, Sunni and Kurdish parties.

asks farmers to remain positive
Around 1,000 farmers and
youth leaders from six suicide-prone districts of Vidarbha gathered at the
Art of Living International Centre. The farmers who have successfully come
out of depression and suicidal tendencies interacted with Sri Sri Ravi
Shankar. They also attended a special session on organic and healthy farming
techniques. The spiritual guru urged the farmers to remain positive. He also
urged the youth volunteers working in the affected districts to look into
the sustainability of the programmes launched by the Art of Living (AOL).
