Sri Sri Yoga is a complete experiential understanding of the essence of the vedic yogic text, and the practice combines all aspects of yoga (Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, Gyana, Karma) in order to enable the practitioner to fully blossom. The practice effortlessly leads the practitioner to an experiential understanding of the ancient wisdom of yoga, and participants leave with an expanded understanding of what comprises an authentic yoga practice.

350 HR Yoga Teachers’ Training Program

Overview 

The 5-weeks curriculum is aligned with the syllabus laid down for Level-2 Yoga Teachers, under the Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals, mentored by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and owned by QCI.  The students who successfully complete the programme and examination thereafter will be eligible for the certificate from QCI after clearing an interview with an external panel.

  • Syllabus

 

Participants will be taught a syllabus aligned with the curriculum set by Quality Council of India.

The Sri Sri School of Yoga Curriculum is guided by the teachings of His Holiness Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and embraces all paths of Yoga, including: Gyana (path of knowledge), Bhakti (path of devotion and sincerity), Karma (path of selfless service to society), Hatha Yoga (path of determination), and Raj yoga (path of effortlessness).

You will learn to attend to the body through an effective practice of pranayama, asanas, and advanced yogic techniques that go beyond the body in order to culture the mind and spirit. Through this wholesome practice you will have the true experience of Yoga, which is defined as the union of body, mind, and spirit.

QCI Certification               

The Sri Sri School of Yoga is the first School in Europe to provide QCI Certification to yoga teachers. Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals is a competence standard mentored by the Ministry of AYUSH* and owned by QCI (www.qcin.org)

To get QCI certified, participants have to go through a rigorous training program and qualify for an exam administered by an independent body.

After successfully completing the 350 Hrs of training and examination thereafter, the students shall be awarded a certificate mentioning the number of hours of education completed at the Sri Sri School of Yoga.

This certificate qualifies the student to take a direct interview with the QCI for the Certification as Yoga Professionals - Level 2 Teacher.

This will also enable the student to register with the Yoga Alliance, USA and receive their registration.

Course Dates

This 350 HRS training could be attended all at once or in two phases. Phase-1 will be for the first three weeks. Phase -2 will be for the last two weeks. Phase -2 cannot be attended without having completed the Phase -1. Completion of both phases within a period of two years is required for the 350Hr Certification.

What is QCI and how is it relevant?

Like Yoga Alliance, QCI (Quality Council of India) certification is a competence standard for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals. The Ministry of AYUSH, India, and QCI have designed the Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professional by adopting the principles and requirements laid down in the international standard, ISO/IEC 17024:2012 (E). Will I get the QCI certification in the 5-week program?

The syllabus for QCI certification is covered in the 5 weeks training, and will allow the student to undergo the QCI certification.

I am an existing 200 Hr RYT. Do I still need to do the full 5-week training to get the QCI  certification?

Even if it would be advisable to attend the full training, this is not mandatory to get the QCI certification. You can study on your own and come for one week and complete the certification by taking the exam.

Does participation in the training automatically confirm certification?

In general, sincere and complete participation in the training program will ensure certification. However, if you do not complete pre-training assignments, are unable to attend classes, or do not pass the exam, you may not get a certification upon graduation.

All fees including tuition and accommodation are non-refundable 30 days prior to the start date.

Do I need to have done the Art of Living Happiness workshop to take the Sri Sri Yoga Teacher Training Program (SSY TTP)?

No, the Sri Sri Yoga Teacher Training Program is open to anyone interested in receiving an authentic, comprehensive yoga education.

Yes as the syllabus is very much specific to become a certified Yoga Teacher.
