Organic Gardens

Organic Gardens

The Centre has a five-acre certified organic garden consisting of fruit trees, herbs, vegetables, a pond, an area for small fruits (strawberries and blueberries) and a section for green manure to revitalize the soil. The garden serves the Centre in three ways. First, it provides healthy organic produce for people residing at or visiting the Centre. We also sell our vegetables at our farm stand and/or through our vegetable basket subscription program. Secondly, it supports our educational gardening programs. Third, for those interested in gardening or volunteering in a garden, we offer a wide range of volunteer experiences.

Join Our Educational Programs
Internship Program

This is a practical organic gardening experience with a combined daily 2-hour academic session; it includes 4-5 hours in the garden. The internship is divided into two-month components – the first from May 4th to July 31st and the second from August 3rd to October 31st.  The focus is on planting and preparing a garden, tending, transplanting, harvesting, and preparing for winter. We go through all the processes of growing an organic garden from seed to seed. The Art of Living Course is required for participation in this program.

Come Volunteer

Visit, work and participate in the garden for a day or weekend or join our volunteer program for an extended period of time. This fulltime position includes room and board, daily meditation and evening Satsang. You must have taken the Art of Living Course if you want to serve as a volunteer for an extended period of time.
