1. Drinking water boosts our energy and reduces fatigue
Since our brain is mostly made up of water, drinking water helps us think more clearly, stay focused, and feel alert!
If you replace your coffee with water, it will help fight tired eyes and make you look and feel more refreshed.
2. Drinking water aids weight loss
Numerous studies have found a link between drinking water and weight loss.
What’s the secret? Water reduces food intake (especially when consumed before meals by filling the stomach) and suppresses hunger naturally. It also boosts metabolism and contains zero calories!
3. Water helps flush out toxins
Drinking water helps eliminate toxins from our bodies through sweating and urination, reducing the risk of urinary tract infections and kidney stones.
It also supports the body’s water balance, regulates body temperature, and aids digestion.
4. Drinking water improves skin appearance
Water hydrates the skin, keeping it fresh, soft, radiant, and smooth.
It reduces wrinkles and is the best defense against premature aging!
5. Water strengthens the immune system
Scientific studies show that people who drink more water are less likely to get sick.
Drinking large amounts of water helps protect against flu, cancer, and diseases like heart attacks.
6. Water makes up a large part of muscle
To perform well during workouts, muscles need to be properly hydrated.
Many people are chronically dehydrated, making physical activity harder.
Focus on drinking more water, and you’ll notice how much more flexible and responsive your body becomes.
7. Water is a natural remedy for headaches
Recent studies show that drinking water helps relieve and prevent headaches, migraines, and back pain, which are often caused by dehydration.
8. Drinking water lifts your mood
When our bodies feel good, we feel good too—and happy!
So what are you waiting for? It’s so simple!
9. Drinking water saves money!
Water is free! Even if you opt for filtered or distilled water, it’s still much cheaper than high-sugar and unhealthy drinks.
10. Water has memory
In addition to its countless health benefits, water is believed to have memory.
Japanese researcher Masaru Emoto conducted experiments on water exposed to music, spoken words, photographs, and written messages attached to glass containers.
He took over 10,000 photographs during his work, some of which were published in his books "The Messages from Water" Volumes 1 and 2, and "Water Knows the Answer".
How much water should we drink each day?
The exact amount is individual.
Research suggests around 8 glasses a day, but the most important thing is to listen to your body.
You should drink 30 to 40 ml of water per kilogram of body weight.
For example, if you weigh 60 kg, you’ll need between 1.8 and 2.4 liters of fluids daily (60 x 30 ml = 1800 ml; 60 x 40 ml = 2400 ml).
If you don’t like the taste of plain water, try adding a slice of lemon, a squeeze of lime, some mint leaves, or cucumber slices—anything that encourages you to drink more.
Cheers to your good health!
