Family Weekend offers something for everyone, with a variety of workshops and activities tailored to different age groups, offered in both French and English. The weekend’s highlights include the invaluable Know Your Child and Know Your Teen workshops (available in both English and French), which provide parents with practical insights to strengthen their parenting skills and improve relationships with their kids and teens.
Additionally participants will enjoy a rich mix of activities, from family satsangeach evening to whole-family yoga classes, outdoor bonfires, and hikes through the forest. Teens can look forward to their own fun activities, like an escape room challenge, while kids will have a blast with interactive experiences such as the Minecraft IRL challenge. Other highlights include an intergenerational art activity, storytelling sessions, and more—ensuring there’s something just right for everyone.
Your family weekend pass includes delicious, nutritious vegetarian meals, including kid-friendly dishes that will satisfy even the pickiest eaters. It’s a weekend designed to deepen family bonds, create lasting memories, and foster a sense of community among all participating families.
Programs Offered During Family Weekend
Know Your Child
Know Your Child is an interactive 3-hour workshop designed for parents of children under 12. It delves into the root causes behind children's behavior, offering valuable insights and practical strategies to help them thrive. Parents will learn ancient wisdom, discover easy-to-implement tools, and gain effective techniques to help themselves to stay calm and centered during challenging moments. The workshop is focused on strengthening the parent-child relationship and fostering a nurturing environment for children to blossom.
Know Your Teen
The Know Your Teen 3-hour interactive workshop is designed to address the unique challenges and rewards of parenting a teenager. It provides parents with valuable tools to better understand and skillfully support their teen's transition into adulthood. Through this workshop, parents will learn how to nurture their teen's innate strengths, encourage open communication, overcome common challenges, and deepen relationships.
Family Weekend Schedule
Family Weekend begins: Saturday March 8, 2 pm
Family weekend ends: Monday March 10, 2 pm
All packages include a full day of family weekend workshops and activities. Participants may depart any time on Sunday.
