Shishu Asana (Child's Pose)
- Sit on your heels. With the thighs resting on the heels, bend forward and place your forehead on the floor.
- Place your arms on the floor alongside your body with the palms facing upward. (If this is uncomfortable, you can place your fists one over the other and rest your forehead on them.)
- Gently press your chest onto your thighs. Hold the position.
- Slowly rise and sit back on your heels, uncurling the spine vertebra by vertebra, and relax.
Benefits:
- Deeply relaxes the back.
- Relieves constipation.
- Calms the nervous system.
