Gurudev’s New Year Message for 2025
Editor’s note: This is part of the transcript of Gurudev’s message for 2025. Enjoy his relaxed and casual tone as he shares guidance for the coming year.
The time is clicking. The clock is clicking as we say goodbye to 2024. A year full of all different types of experiences for everyone. Any year passes by and leaves you richer with a lot of wisdom and experiences. Not just good ones, the bad ones also make you stronger. So let's draw strength from the experiences of the past, courage from the wisdom, and move on to 2025. Wish you all a Happy New Year!
New Year’s wishes
Normally, you have a wish list, and you have some programs that you think, “Okay, I want to do this and this.” You can have all that, but we begin with wisdom. When our wishes are supported by the strength of wisdom, then there is only Bliss in life, only happiness in life. Minus wisdom and our wishes become weak, our plans become mediocre, and uncertainty looms.
With wisdom, self-knowledge, and knowing ourselves and our lives in context with time and space, we contribute to the planet. We are here to contribute to the planet, and in return, whatever the receipt that the world gives us, we enjoy the receipts. So, we contribute to the planet in that way. We think, okay, what shall we do? What more can I do for the time I am on this planet? This is what we can keep in our minds with that vision and a mission. Then life is full of happiness, there can be no depression.
Make being the light your goal
When the world is going through a lot of tough times, a lot of issues, and challenges,
you are the light of relief; you are the light of hope. Be a giver of hope to everyone around you. Give hope and uplift the society, uplift the people, and keep this in mind as our goal, our vision, to bring wisdom and spiritual knowledge today.
Spirituality, science, and silence go hand in hand
Science has come so close to spirituality. Science acknowledges the value of spirituality today.
Let’s refresh our knowledge and begin this year with silence programs. Many have said goodbye to the previous year with a silence program.
Silence is the mother of all good, all creativity, and all happiness. Let's determine this year, we all will do some silence programs according to our convenience- one, two, three, whatever you can do. Every four months or every six months, one must do a silence course so we can take this in our kitty of wishes as we move forward. When we do silence programs, we go within and come out with flying colors.
Getting back to your nature with meditation
In Sanskrit, there is a word that Lord Krishna says that means, “get back to my nature, eightfold.” Getting back to the nature brings all the resources to be more creative and energized, charged with positive energy. We can create what we want to create. So, remember you have to get back to your nature to create more, to create what you want.
Let's make meditation part of our daily routine. If you have not yet already learned meditation, do. Sometimes, we don't think it is such a priority because when we are happy, we just want to enjoy the fruit of happiness. This is like enjoying the fruits of a tree and not bothering to water the roots. So, when we remind ourselves that we need to water the root on a daily basis, then the tree will yield fruits. So let's make meditation part of our routine and see that everyone else around us also gets into that meditation routine as well.

Stretch your hand, and expand your friendship circle
In the course of time, we always get into some problems, others get into problems with us, or we get into problems with others. Let's resolve to make friends with all those who have moved away from your friendship, your friendship circle. Stretch your hand to make friends!
