ABOUT SRI SRI RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Established in 2001 Sri Sri Rural Development Program Trust under the aegis of Art of Living operates with the single-minded focus of empowering Rural India. We aim at bringing together the best global practices, corporate thinking and accountability, the highest standards of corporate governance and transparency to create a model of sustainable development, which is benchmark in the industry and can be replicated at scale.

Impact of our efforts
- Reached 36,557 villages with the 5H program - Health, Hygiene, Homes, Human Values, Harmony in Diversity
- Trained 16,546 rural youth in Youth Leadership Training Program
- Spent over 100 million man hours in developing full human potential
- Transformed the lives of over 200,000 prison inmates through Prison Programs globally
- Developed 50 model villages in India benefitting 100,000 people
- Conducted 49,500 hygiene camps and 25,950 medical camps benefitting 2.5 million people
- Running 22 Sri Sri Kaushal Vikas Kendras under which more than 5000 youths have been provided skills training during the last 2 years in the field of Electricals, Beauty Therapy, Computers, Mobile Repairing, Bar Bending & Mason work, Welding, Rural Technology and Renewable Energy.
- More than 200 rural women trained in Agarbatti rolling surrounding Bangalore Ashram.
- Over 5000 rural women trained and 258 SHGs formed in tailoring, embroidery & food processing under Project Shakti.
- Rehabilitated more than 3000 Surrendered Militants & Prison Inmates under Project Srijan providing them with skills training and employment.
- Provided Solar Energy to more than 12500 unelectrified households of Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Orissa and Bihar reaching out to more than 580000 individuals under Light A Home Project.
- 95 Yuvacharyas trained as Solar Engineers to install and service Home Lighting Systems under Light A Home Project.
- Set up 56 Battery Charging Stations and created 40 Solar Entrepreneurs in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam and UP.
- Trained 60 Rural Youths as Jal Sevaks to manufacture low cost Bio Sand Water Filters.
- Provided safe drinking water to more than 45000 individuals in Project Boond by setting up 4 community water filters and making 78 bore-wells.
