It has been an ancient Indian tradition to set aside a portion of the households income towards the welfare of the society. This tradition, a pillar that is said to uphold Dharma, is also the underlying principle of the Dharma Sthambha Yojana. Founded in 2002 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the DSY is an initiative to enable individuals to contribute to causes they believe in. 100% of the donations received are used in The Art of Living’s service initiatives in the areas of education, disaster relief, environment and rural development.
