Art of Living Ayurveda Seminar Gives Diabetology a shot in the arm

Solutions for serious diabetic complication including of the eye, nerves, and ulcers were discussed at the lively 2-day National Seminar on Ayurveda and Diabetes, beginning on the 6th of December, at The Art of Living International Center.  
 
Hosting the meet in its Decennial year, The Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital brought together noted experts in the field and over 1000 doctors and students to revive the use of Ayurveda as a first option for diabetic care. 
 
The evening session, presided by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder, The Art of Living, had Mr. Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon. Minister of State (Independent Charge) AAYUSH and Padmabhushan Padmashree Vaidya  Devendra Triguna. A new Ayurvedic drug for diabetes, "Mehantakavati" was launched. 
 
Professor Manoranjan Sahu, Dean, Faculty of Ayurveda, B.H.U, Varanasi; Professor Poornima Krishnamurthy, Director, Prajna Kuteer, Mysore; Dr. Sathyanarayan Bhat, Principal, Ayurveda Medical College, Manipal among others deliberated on the treatment and management of diabetes.
