India

Bangalore, Dec 27: Over 475 young aspiring entrepreneurs part of what is touted to be the world’s largest train journey, the Jagriti Yatra, visited the Art of Living campus in the city today.

As part of their 2015 Yatra, the group stopped over for a day at the Art of Living International Centre to study its founder, humanitarian and spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar as a role model.

Addressing the participants, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, “The quality of youth is the ability to take up challenges. When you do something good and useful for people, nature will support. I have always started a project and the resources have followed.”

“It is important to have purity in the heart, clarity in the mind and sincerity in action. Be open to innovation. Being a leader alone is not enough, we need to create more leaders.” He added.

The Jagriti Yatra, an 8000 km long journey across 15 days, takes youth from semi-urban and rural India to meet social and business entrepreneurs. The journey aims to inspire the spirit of entrepreneurship among youth from the small towns.

Vivek Neekhra, Member of the Operations Team and the Selection Committee of the Yatra. shared “We chose to come to meet Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at The Art of Living because both the Art of Living and the team at Jagriti Yatra are working to create a better world. I know how important spiritual knowledge is and I felt that this element was missing from both the previous Yatras I have attended.”
