Srinagar: Art of Living founder Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will arrive in Kashmir's capital Srinagar on Saturday for 'Paigami Mohabat'. He has been invited by the lesser known Jammu Kashmir Coordination Committee (JKCC).

"The idea behind organising this event is to find a lasting solution to the age old Kashmir conflict," read a statement issued by JKCC.

"The event will take place at SKICC (Sheri Kashmir International Conference Centre) Srinagar from 2pm onwards, where Gurudev and other members of the civil society will address the gathering."

According to JKCC, it will be an apolitical event christened as "Paigam-e-Mohabbat", which is expected to witness the participation of thousands of people from different walks of life, irrespective of their background and socio-political, socio-economic and socio-cultural identities.

Sri Sri is expected to meet people from far-flung areas as well as those from the troubled territory. He is schedule to meet various delegations.

Before the event Gurudev also will also launch the social media hashtag #KashmirForPeace, said a JKCC member.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar had earlier also organised a similar peace initiative for Kashmir conference in Bangalore under the same name "Paigami Mohabat".
