Yoga in the pandemic

YOGA is the complete blossoming of the human being

to the ultimate and realization of the Self. It is also referred to as the 'UNION' of the JIVATMA with the PARMATMA. The path leading to this realisation may be tedious and tough, needing discipline, focus and commitment but not impossible. The fruits however are extremely rewarding and transform the individual so positively that even if one cannot attain the ultimate goal in this lifetime, you can be well assured that all your practices will enable you to have a better lifetime here and in life thereafter.

The Pandemic has indeed been one of the most fertile times to immerse oneself in this wonderful Science of Yoga. It gave great respite from the usual busy schedule and rat race. Yoga consists of Knowledge, Pranayamas, Asanas and Meditation. We also know of  Gyana Yoga, Karma Yoga, Dyana Yoga & Bhakti Yoga. To me this pandemic gave an opportunity to bask and bathe in all these different flavours (paths) of Yoga. Participating in the Online Knowledge series "Narada Bhakti Sutras", " Asthavakra Geeta"," Murugan Rahasiya", "Khato Upanishads', "Patanjali Yoga Sutras", " Bhagwatam " and chapters of the Bhagwad Geeta  was a total dip in the Ganga of GYAN YOGA. The Meditations conducted by Guruji twice a day and an opportunity to do Online  Meditation Program was a great experience of the  DYANA YOGA   Free Covid  Workshops declared by GURUJI gave an opportunity for some great Seva and KARMAYOGA. Compassion blossomed within our hearts when the people got together to provide meals for those in need. Humanity rose high above all class, creed or religion. The heart was filled with deep gratitude for our Guru, for the protection received against the lurking dangers and giving me these blissful experiences and inner strength during these most difficult times. BHAKTI YOGA which always existed  became even more profound and concrete! Being able to express this gratitude by learning and chanting the GURU PUJA following the online Guru Puja Phase1 is yet another blessing for me during the pandemic. Completing the much awaited SRI SRI YOGA Level 1 TTC in March '21 has given me wings to fly high and spread this most precious knowledge with others.
