A household to-do list is endless

Homemakers are the backbone of your home and society at large. Whether you are a full-time homemaker or a homemaker with a part-time job or freelancing, it is incredibly demanding and challenging. In 25 years of managing a home, I feel that homemaking is the art of creating a warm, welcoming and restful atmosphere for your loved ones. In the process, I find the household to-do list endless. 

Research shows that homemakers had moderate to severe stress and adapted moderate to poor coping strategies.

If I can boast of being appreciated by my in-laws, it is only because of the Mudra pranayamas and the meaningful silence in AMP. The mantra that comes to my mind in unfavorable circumstances is “Nothing is permanent”. This mantra is deep-seated in me through repeated meditations.

Research led by Harvard-affiliated researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital states: “Studies have shown that participating in an eight-week mindfulness meditation program increased gray-matter density in the brain region (hippocampus) associated with learning and memory, self-awareness, and compassion, and decreased gray-matter density in the brain region (amygdala) associated with anxiety and stress.”
