Ridalin was born in Meghalaya, in the lush hills of India’s north-east. Her childhood, however, was marked by profound loss. She lost her mother and her father by the age of six. Along with her siblings, she was taken in by relatives, and life required strength long before it should have.

In 2009, Ridalin arrived at the Bengaluru Ashram and joined the Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth school, supported through the Gift a Smile initiative. What began as a new chapter soon revealed her quiet brilliance. Teachers noticed her sharp intellect and disciplined focus. She embraced every opportunity, excelling in academics while also stepping confidently onto the Taekwondo mat. Her dedication led her to represent Karnataka at national-level competitions, a remarkable achievement for a young girl who had already faced so much.

Ridalin passed her Grade 10 examinations with distinction, scoring 84.8%, and went on to complete her higher secondary education with an even higher distinction of 91.5%. Her passion for design and structure guided her next step, and she recently graduated with a degree in architecture from Sri Sri University.

Her journey is not a story of hardship alone. It is a story of possibility awakened. In a nurturing environment that provided education, mentorship, discipline, and values, Ridalin found both stability and wings.

Today, she stands as a testament to what can unfold when resilience meets opportunity, and when a child is supported not just to survive, but to fully blossom.
