Dandruff is a condition that causes the formation of white flakes on the scalp. It is caused due to oily skin and scalp, extreme use of shampoo, sweating, mental stress and fatigue, pollution, hormonal imbalances, an unhygienic atmosphere, hereditary causes, etc. Excess dandruff can cause infection, redness, and the spreading of pus.

Reduce stress to control dandruff

Mental stress and fatigue are common yet most often ignored causes of dandruff. If you are going through a mentally draining phase in life and you are also seeing a lot of dandruff in your hair, then it is no coincidence. A daily practice of Sudarshan Kriya breathing technique and meditation can help remove stress and drop all that dandruff gradually.

Yoga practice helps develop the body and mind bringing a lot of health benefits yet is not a substitute for medicine. It is important to learn and practice yoga postures under the supervision of a trained Sri Sri Yoga teacher. In case of any medical condition, practice yoga postures after consulting a doctor and a Sri Sri Yoga teacher. Find a Sri Sri Yoga program at an Art of Living Center near you.
