The Art of Vibrations

Are you aware that sometimes for no reason you feel like talking to some people and, sometimes for no reason you want to avoid some people? A baby or a dog conveys the vibrations of love that no speaker can express. Everything here radiates vibrations, and those vibrations make things happen around you. True communication happens through vibrations. In fact, we convey almost all thoughts through our presence and very little through words.

One of the greatest physicists who was in the team of creating the first nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki says. ‘I studied matter for 35 years to find out it doesn’t exist. What exists is just vibration’. Everyone of us is emitting and absorbing vibrations. And chanting, singing creates such positive vibrations, you become a source of energy. What is the difference between a bulb which is lit and a bulb which is not? One is emitting energy and in the other, no energy movement is there. And all singing, chanting and meditating is like lighting the bulb.

Through breathing techniques, meditation and mantras we can rekindle positive vibrations within and around us. Spiritual practices and meditation connect you to the universal spirit.

The Major Sources of Energy

There are four sources of energy:

1. Food

In ancient India, if someone was behaving funny, people would ask, ‘What did you feed him?’ or ‘What did you eat?’ Instead of asking, ‘Why are you behaving like this?’ This is true in some way. Attending food is the first source of energy.

2. Sleep

Any sane person, if you do not let him sleep for two days, he will not be normal. There will be a drastic change in his or her behaviour. So sleep or proper rest is important.

3. Breath

It is the third source of energy. A few minutes of breathing, and some yoga can energise the body and the mind, and uplift the spirit.

4. A Happy Mind

A comfortable mind is much more calm and collected. A few minutes of meditation makes the mind happy and comfortable.

So, these are the four sources of energy. People know of the first two to some extent, though they may not have paid much attention to it. The other two need to be known or told to people. They should be part of our education system.

The Energy Play

When the energy is higher, you feel happier and it’s even higher, you feel enthusiastic. When it is complete, you feel so blissful. When energy is normal, you feel normal. Doubts come because some energy goes down. You doubt everything. You doubt yourself, you doubt others, you doubt the universe. Doubt is an indication of low prana, low energy. When the energy is higher, it changes, it brings trust, it brings enthusiasm.
Only when the energy is low, is when depression happens. When the barometer of energy drops down then you feel disinterested and depressed. When it goes further down, you lose the willingness to live. So in this condition, what do you do? You keep on giving medicine to somebody. It works for some time. Then it stops working. Medicine is not the solution. So what else can you do? You have to raise the prana in you by exercise, by proper food, by meditation, by breathing, by Sudarshan KriyaTM and by all these activities. This will bring the energy level up. That is why meditation is very very important.

Prana – the Life Energy

You feel very enthusiastic, confident, all these feelings come because of this movement of Prana or energy in our body. If we know how to regulate our Prana, our energy, then you don’t feel like a victim, “Oh! I feel so bad today.”

In our body, we have 1,72,000 channels of energy. One lakh seventy two thousand channels of energy, these are called Nadis. They are channels of energy, channels of Prana. When different Nadis open up, different experiences come to us. Have you noticed that sometimes you feel very creative? If you want to write a song or do something creative, only sometimes it happens. And when that happens, something happens in your brain, a Nadi opens up. Sometimes a Nadi gets blocked, worry comes into your head. You know, worrying is futile but because a certain Nadi is functioning or that Nadi is open, you simply worry.

5 Ways to Optimise Your Energy

  1. Be free from stress.
  2. Have an open mind.
  3. See there is a joy in sharing. There is joy in giving. Acknowledge that.
  4. See life from a bigger context. You’re not going to be here forever. It will all be gone. Just a glimpse of this context to life can make a big difference.
  5. Meditate. Meditation is something that you must do every day. That will reinforce your connection with the greater self.

The Art of Vibrations

Our minds are so sensitive that it can catch on to the thought waves and vibrations of others around us. If you just sit with a person who is angry, upset or negative for 10 minutes, when you walk away from them, you also carry a little bit of their frustrations with you. When you spend a little time with those who are happy, for example with little kids, and when you move away from there, you carry their joy.

Our body is constantly emitting energy and vibrations. You are emitting energy all the time. We not only physically pollute the environment but we mentally, emotionally and spiritually also pollute the environment. When we are stressed and unhappy, we tend to pollute the environment much more. Happiness is the unpolluted vibrations that come from within us. We are all born happy, every child is born happy and we emit happiness, but in the course of growing up, education and dealing with people all around, somewhere we lose the purity and serenity that we were all born with. We need to get back to our true nature which is innocence, which is simplicity, which is honesty, and then we are caring for the environment.

One of the scientists says that our brain has different types of neurons, and there are certain neurons which create barriers. When a person in front of you touches someone else, the brain says, ‘You are being touched’ but there are certain neurons in hand which sends a signal to the brain that says, ‘It is not you being touched’. If your hand is given anaesthesia and then if someone touches someone else, you will also feel the touch. And he (the scientist) says, we all are nothing but neurons, we all are connected, everybody is connected. The subtler we go, we find there are only vibrations, and there are no neutrons, protons or electrons but all that exists is – vibrations.

How Meditation Boosts Energy in You?

Meditation brings the transformation from negative vibes to positive vibes, from hatred to love, from frustration to confidence, from despair to hope and from ignorance to intuition.

1. Relieve Stress

Today every two seconds, we’re losing 7 lives on this planet because of stress. The way to relieve stress is deep meditation.

What’s happening in today’s world, when people are stressed, either they hurt themselves, or they hurt others. Just remember your own self, when you are so stressed you are mad at people and it did it hurt others? Is this not our experience? When we are not normal, not in our senses, we tend to do things which hurt our dear and near ones. Doesn’t it happen?

The purpose in our life is to spread happiness. Bring waves of happiness, right? Yeah. Anything you do in your life, you do for what? To have more happiness and more happiness, and more happiness. Right? And happiness can only happen when we are free from stress and we are wise enough to see world from a broader perspective. We need wisdom in life to avoid stress or when stress comes to withstand stress, to avoid stress what we need? Wisdom, a broad vision. And the stress which has already come, we need technique to get rid of them.

Each one of us emits vibrations and these vibrations get polluted when we are stressed, angry, upset and frustrated. The way to purify our presence and our vibrations is through meditation.

2. Calm the Mind

3. Tap Inner Peace

Meditation assures inner peace. When there is inner peace, you can achieve peace outside also. If you are agitated, if you are frustrated, you can’t create peace outside. ‘Charity begins at home.’ You should have peace in order to give peace.

It’s not just the words that convey peace. Peace is a vibration. When we find peace within ourselves, we radiate peace.

4. Present Moment Bliss

A mind in the present moment is meditation.

Have you observed what is happening in your mind every moment? It vacillates between the past and the future. It is either in the past occupied with what has happened or in the future thinking about what you have to do. Knowledge is being aware of this phenomenon of the mind — of what is happening right now in your mind as you are reading this article.
Information can be acquired by reading books or browsing the Internet. You can open a book on any subject such as how to lose weight, how to prepare for an interview, success 101 and so on. There are innumerable volumes available on a countless number of topics, but the awareness of your own mind cannot be learnt from a book.
Happiness, joy, enthusiasm, efficiency and effectiveness are all in the present. With meditation, you gain the ability to start living in the present moment and are able to let go of the past.

5. Exude Positive Energy

There is another tendency of the mind – it clings onto the negative. If 10 positive events are followed by one negative event, the mind will cling to the negative. It will simply forget the 10 positive events. When someone says something negative about you or when a close friend of you is feeling very low, suddenly you also start feeling the same, your whole energy gets down. If you have had a misunderstanding with a friend or colleague at work, you can become stiff inside and this can distort your emotions leading to negativity and you carry this negativity wherever you go. However, when you culture your mind with meditation, its tendency of holding on to negative emotions simply disappears.

So when you are thinking that things are going to be negative then that is what seed you are putting in the universe, and that is going to happen. So with your positive thinking, positive ideas, positive sankalpa. It is said that, to let positive vibrations come out of you. Negative thoughts arise in you, yet you tell, everything is positive. And how does that happen? Not by just thinking, but by relaxing. Cutting a thought with another thought is only superficial but cutting a thought by silence (meditation), by letting go, by devotion, by faith, by surrendering to God, is deeper.

How many of you feel that this is unusual, that entering a place makes you refreshed? You know, why does this happen? It is because people have been meditating here. Meditation keeps the energy high in the whole surroundings. This is the effect of meditation, knowledge and devotion.


You add color to the world; opposite values are complementary. Keep it up. Be the way you are and say to yourself in the mirror, “I accept you!” If you have imbibed wisdom, there is no way you can be miserable. Wisdom is such that you know there will be pleasant days, and there will be unpleasant days. There will be good people, and bad people. Sometimes your friends behave like your enemies, and sometimes your enemies become your good friends. All this is a way of life, these things happen. They help you become centered, and solid. Then, no storm can shake you. Even if you can forget all my other talks, if these five lines that I have said stays with you, I tell you, you have done it! You have won! That is why it is called Maya. All these thoughts and emotions, which we think are real, they are unreal, an illusion. Our concepts about others, about ourselves, they are all unreal. Shake them all, and wake up! You will see, you are just the bubbling energy, bubbling enthusiasm! You are the fountain of love!

First look into the mirror and give a big smile to yourself. Then do some deep breathing, a little bit of yoga and meditation. Give some time to yourself everyday and you will be more energetic and beautiful.
