Art of Living Signs MoU With Leading Industry Body, CII

To promote ethics in business through meaningful partnerships, soft skills training and co-operation in CSR

Bengaluru: The Art of Living (Vyakti Vikas Kendra India) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading industry body Confederation Of Indian Industry (CII) on 26th February in the presence of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, global humanitarian and founder of The Art of Living, and Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII. The MoU was signed to work towards promotion of ethics and integrity in business through planned activities, wellness and training programs, co-operation in areas of corporate social responsibility.

As part of the MoU, the two may look at the 'possibility of holding a Conference on Ethics in Business as is held regularly at the European Parliament.'

To have companies and members lead stress-free, healthier, happier and socially responsible lives, within CII's membership, The Art of Living's globally recognized and highly popular soft skills training like APEX, Mind Matters, and Corporate Holistic Wellbeing Programs will be organized and conducted.

Collaboration will also occur in working together in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility by assisting the various Art of Living social service projects to find corporate partners in various fields-education, environment, river rejuvenation, stress and trauma relief during natural calamities and conflict zones. The Art of Living projects have impacted millions of lives positively both in India and abroad, bringing much-needed relief to them across the world.

The signing of the MoU heralds a positive and forward-looking vision in the CII leadership which will support and help the important task of nation building through engagement between the private sector and a major humanitarian NGO.
