Learn how to overcome fatigue with these 9 yoga tips

The fast-paced sedentary lifestyle and daily stresses of the modern world are slowly inducing fatigue in the lives of many. While fatigue may be an energy-sapping beast, invisible to you, there are ways in which your energy reserves can be maintained or restored.

Here are some simple steps that can be your cure for fatigue.

1. Check if fatigue is a symptom of  a larger problem

Fatigue could be a way in which your body may be signaling you towards a larger problem. It is best to visit a doctor and rule out the possibilities of other diseases. This is the first best step for your fatigue treatment.

2. Stretch your body

Studies show yoga exercising boosts one’s energy levels. So, when you feel fatigued, it is best advised to do a few simple exercises for a short duration.

3. Have sattvik food

Sattvik food is the one with high prana (life force). Consumption of sattvik food makes you feel fresh and energized, making it an easy and natural cure for fatigue. It comprises fresh fruits, vegetables like pumpkin and bottle gourd, seasonal foods, dairy products, nuts, seeds, oils, ripe vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and non-meat based proteins.

Increasing the percentage of sattvik food in your diet can reduce your chances of feeling fatigued.

4. Do yoga and pranayama

Yoga and pranayama increase the prana (life force) level in your body. In addition, they help in alleviating stress, which is one of the causes of fatigue. Their multifold advantages make them an excellent cure for fatigue.

5. Increase your water intake

Dehydration is one of the possible causes of fatigue. The standard guideline for sufficient water intake is two liters. Check if you meet this daily requirement. If not, then it is advisable to up your water intake to beat fatigue.

6. Sleep the right hours

Sleeping for less than six hours can cause fatigue and so can sleeping for more than eight hours. So, regulate your sleeping hours as consistency of sleep can cure your fatigue.

7. Reduce gadget time

Excessive use of smartphones and laptops is one of the lesser known causes of fatigue. Try cutting down your gadget time and see how that drastically improves your energy levels.

8. Take refuge in Ayurveda

Ayurveda offers elaborate panchakarma therapies like Shirodhara and Abhyanaga to dissipate fatigue. You can also take energizing herbal supplements.

9. Meditate and stay happy
